Prof. Dr. S. Shantha kumar is Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, School of Law, G.D. Goenka University. Earlier, he was Dean, Faculty of Law at SGT University, Gurgaon;Director of ITM Law School, ITM University, Gurgaon; Associate Professor of Law and Controller of Examinations at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur; Senior Lecturer at Government, Law College, Madurai; and Senior Lecturer at Government Law College, Chennai. Before joining the legal academia he had practiced at the Madras High Court for seven years. He is an alumnus of Madras University where he obtained his graduation, post graduation and doctorate degree in law. His areas of specialization are Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, International Law, and Constitutional Law. He has authored 3 books on Environmental Law and 2 books on Human Rights Law. He has published a number of research articles on various contemporary legal issues in various reputed national and international journals and edited volumes. He has presented papers and delivered key note addresses in many national and international conferences in India and abroad. He had executed the Environmental Law Capacity Building Project funded by World Bank; the Law Teaching and Legal Research Skills Project of the British Council and Cardiff University, U.K. and a Research Project on "Audio Piracy" funded by the MHRD, Government of India. He has been a very active member of the International Association of Law Schools, U.S.A.He was awarded the "Environmental Law Champions Development Award" from the Asian Development Bank, Philippines.
Prof. (Dr.) Amar Pal Singh is presently working at University School of Law and Legal Studies, before that he worked at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. Earlier, Dr. Singh was Lecturer (Law) during 1996-2005 at Govt Law College, Bikaner (Rajasthan), Associate Professor (Law) during 2005-10, at National Law University Jodhpur, (Rajasthan) and 20010-2013 at University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGS IP University, New Delhi. Dr. Singh has three masters to his credit, one in English Literature and two degrees in law, (LL.M). One of the Masters in Law is from MDS University, Ajmer (Rajasthan) in Constitutional Law and the other from European Academy of Legal Theory, Brussels (Belgium) in Legal Theory. He did his Ph.D. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur (Rajasthan). Dr. Singh has substantial academic work to his credit. Having attended around 50 national and international conferences and having more than 30 research papers published in journals of national and international repute in India and abroad, Dr. Singh has also visited number of countries in connection with his academic work. Two very interesting aspects of his academic life have been, that he had no formal education; that most of his education, right since his school days was part-time as a private student and the second, that he was basically a Sanskrit student from the very beginning and then at his graduation level started his English education and went on to do his masters in English Literature. He is a life member of Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, (L-1513), Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi (L-11020) and an Associate member of Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi.
Dr Mayuri H Pandya is Director I/C, GLS Law College, Ahmedabad, India. B.Sc. (Microbiology), LL.B., LL.M. (Gold Medallist), Ph.D. (Environmental Law). She is Environmental Appellate Authority, Department of Environment & Forest, Government of Gujarat. Member, State Environment Appraisal Committee (SEAC), Government of Gujarat. Director, Environmental Law Clinic, GLS Law College. Dr Pandya has more than 30 research publication of National and International repute. Two books to her credit. She is senate member, last 9 years at Gujarat University. Also Chairperson, Board of studies of Law, Gujarat University. She is fellow of law in Universities and high repute organizations. She is Member of Governing Board of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), nominated by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Dr. Gupta is presently working as a Professor at BHU, School of Law. He did his LL.B. (Allahabad) and LL.M securing 1st position in the year 1993 from B.H.U. He got UGC Merit Scholarship in LL.M and B.H.U Researcher Scholarship at PH.D. Level. He started his teaching career in 1996 as Lecturer in Law at Agra College, Agra and Joined B.H.U in 1997. His areas of specialization and interest include Environmental Law, Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence. He participated and presented papers in more than 26 National and International seminars/workshop. He has supervised 18 LL.M. dissertations( till 2011) and presently 4 Ph.D. scholars are working under him. Dr Gupta has contributed articles in journals and books. He is Life Member of the Environmental and Consumer Protections Foundation, New Delhi and Academique, A discussion group at Varanasi. He has attended two refresher courses at NLSIU, Bangalore and ILI, New Delhi on Environmental Law and one advanced training course at NLSIU, Bangalore. He has also worked as Secretary of the Departmental Council during 2004-05. He has played an active role as member of committee which designed and executed a prestigious World Bank project namely, The Environmental Law Management Capacity Building Project at Faculty of Law, BHU.
Ms Banerjee is presently working as an Asst. Professor in G D Goenka University, School of Law. She has completed her under graduation from KIIT School of law with International Law Honours followed by Master in Laws from King's College London with Transnational Law Specialisation. She was also selected to study an academic course in SOAS, University of London and has been a student of the 2017 Private International Law course at The Hague Academy of International Law. Ms Banerjee is a recipient of the Goodenough Commonwealth Scholarship, 2016. Ms Banerjee has contributed by publishing her views on various topics on International Law and other contemporary social and legal issues in many Journals. She has also presented papers in various National and International Seminars/Conferences on a varied subject like International Humanitarian Law, Women Justice, Environmental law etc.
